We enjoyed three and a half days of fellowship, art, encouragement, worship, learning, and connecting with future friends at the 2016 CreativeChurch Arts Conference in Boise. This was an event for artists as well as non-artists, church and community leaders as well as people who aren’t connected in a church or art community. Attendees received the love of God, and soaked in practical, creative ideas on ministering through the arts wherever two or more are gathered in the name of Christ.
We designed this conference to be not only a unique time of gathering ideas and inspiration from creative leaders, discovering resources, and sharing with peers, but also a time of spiritual and mental refreshing. In addition to the many valuable workshops, there were opportunities each day to take a creative break in the VineArts Studio, connect with other attendees, or get specific prayer. From the time attendees registered for the Boise conference, someone was praying specifically for what God has called them to. We hope that attendees left spiritually energized and full of new ideas and inspiration!

During the conference we explored questions like: How can our churches manage the tension between inclusiveness and excellence in the arts? How can the arts be used in outreach? How can we be intentional about giving artists a place in our churches? How can we disciple and encourage them, and avoid burning them out? How can we facilitate true community among artists?, and more.
